How's It Going? Newbe here

Hi there,

I am Jeff or Jazzy to my friends so I am hoping i have found some.

I have recently moved over from the UK (Salisbury), back in March 09 and have been longing to get a vespa for such a long time.

I am living in Geelong and haven't managed to come to any meetings yet, but will do soon I promise.

I am also looking for a ride as I have never owned my own vespa I had some friends back in salisbury that where in the scooter club and have always loved them.

If anyone knows of a reasonable vespa thats for sale please let me know, still have to get my licence here first I guess!!

If I dont get to see you all on Wednesday's I will be at the 'MOD vs ROCKERS meet on the October 25th where are we meeting?

Thanks
JazzyJeff

Welcome Jeff,

Good to have another pom in the club. The more the merrier

This is an ace forum to find out about a good scooter as there is a wealth of knowledge here and everyone is only too willing to lend a hand or advice.

Best of luck looking for a scoot.

G'day Jazzy,
Welcome to the Crusaders, I'm assuming you're the one on the right in your photo, there are a couple of club members down your way, I'm sure they'll make themselves known to you.
Cheers, Mark.

Yes, Australian-born members are a little thin on the ground... but there are some of us too!

Oh, and congrats on choosing the Vespa marque , and may you find a good one soon!

Ok Jazzy Jeff, welcome to the club.
I've just plucked this ad out the members section, Vespa that went on sale recently, his name is Roberto could give him a call

PX for sale

Hi everyone and...sorry for my long absence from the forum as I had some pressing matters to deal with.
I have a 1981 PX200 for sale. This is one of the early PX frames with the side cover catches the same as the Rally and all previuos models. It is infact an evolution from the Rally to the latest PX shape. It has elctronic ignition but no electric starter. It is a bit battered with some surface rust but I have a current RWC. The engine, which I have been servicing regularly, is very good and it still pulls uphill beautifully. It is usable now and registered to DEC 09. I also have a complete frame with sides, headset, guard, horncast ect.. for the same bike, almost ready to paint, straight and rust free. This would be a good opportunity for a restoration project that would allow the owner to ride the Vespa until the body is ready for reassembly.
I am asking 1300 for the bike and another 500, if interested, for the extra body and all the bits that come with it
Please call on 0419 365507 if interested

Roberto's sold that already Billy.

I might be tempted to part with my red VBB if the price was right.

I picked up my new XJR1300 today and the missus is nipping me ear about filling the carport with bikes. 4 at the moment :sniffle:

I wouldnt suggest for a minute that a Suzuki footpath is anything resembling a Harley. In most respects the Japanese only improve a product not make the same one for 50 years.

Hi Jeff, welcome to the Melbourne Crusaders, we go on club rides 3rd Sunday of every month & somtimes have Cafe ride outs in the City on other sundays. In regard to your purchasing a Vespa, I am sure sombody in the club will point you in the right direction. I am also a Pom from Essex, see you at one of the wednesday night club meetings.

All the Best.

Jeff,

I can't find your email. Drop me a line on

gordonbingham@hotmail.com

I've attached a picture of the VBB but if your intending to drive it from Geeling and back for meetings and rides etc you might be better off with a P range.

Gordon
